Florian Mair

Florian Mair currently serves as the Managing Director of the Flow Cytometry Core Facility (FCCF) at ETH Zurich, Switzerland. After graduating with an MSc in Molecular Biology from the University of Vienna, he finished his PhD in Immunology at the University of Zurich in 2014.

Afterwards, he spent several years at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle, USA studying the interplay of different immune cells with the human tumor microenvironment.

Over the past decade, he has worked extensively with different high-dimensional cytometry platforms as well as scRNA-sequencing techniques, including multi-omic methods.

His main scientific interests are the function of DCs and T cells in non-lymphoid tissues during health and disease, teaching best practices in cytometry and developing new flow cytometry panels and analysis approaches.
